Three times a year the Tempe All-City Association invites the city's most talented high school athletes to dinner.
This tradition started on January 24, 1983, when 33 student athletes were honored at the Spagetti Company in downtown Tempe. With the rapid growth of the Tempe Union high school district and the number of high schools, these banquets now include all 21 organized boys and girls sports and an Excellence Award to the most outstanding Tempe Union scholar-athlete.
The Tempe All-City Hall of Fame was set up to honor those people with outstanding contributions to athletics in the Tempe high school district.
