Nicole is not new to All-City Banquets, having been selected All-City in Basketball, Tennis, Track, and Badminton. This will be her 9th All-City Banquet.
Nicole has received special recognition at the State and National levels, being named Arizona Republic Badminton Player of the Year, Arizona Republic Player of the Year in Basketball, Arizona Republic Top 100 Athletes of the Century - Honorable Mention, Arizona Republic High School Player of the Century, Sports Arizona High School Athlete of the Year - Female. National recognition includes: Adidas All-American - Girls Basketball, Naismith High School National Top Ten Finalist, Nike All American Camp, Parade Magazine All-American, USA Today newspaper 1st Team All-American. Nicole ranks 55th in a class of 550 and caries a 4.0 grade point average. She is involved in school activities such as Marching Band, Student Council, Key Club, Letter Club, and Scholarship Scouts. Her community activities include Comfort Program Volunteer, and Teen Council Representative.
Nicole is the daughter of Lawrence & Ruth Powell.
