Joy Burke

This four year letter award winner has enjoyed an outstanding career at Marcos de Niza. She is no stranger to All-City Banquets, having been named to the All-City Basketball Team in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Joy is ranked among the top post players in the country and was one of the top 100 basketball recruits in the nation. Joy was offered full ride basketball scholarships from over 40 Division One universities at the end of her junior year, including ASU, Stanford, Duke, Vanderbilt and Louisville. She signed with Arizona State University.

Joy ranks 17th in a class of 463 seniors and carries a 4.0 grade point average. She has been a Tempe Top Teen and was this year's Homecoming Queen. Joy also enjoys being a school translator for students who speak Chinese.

Joy is the daughter of Steve and Ming-Hui Burke.
