Dawn has been a varsity golfer at Corona del Sol since her freshman year. She has been the M.V.P. all four years at Corona del Sol. Dawn has been an All-State golfer since her freshman year, and been honored with the Arizona Interscholastic Association Scholar-Athlete Award for 1989, 1990, 1991. Dawn has qualified to play in the National PGA Jr. Championship. She also played in the 21st Patty Sheehan Silver Belle Tournament.
Dawn has excelled not only in athletics, but in academics. She finished 42nd in a class of 649 seniors, and posted a 4.14 grade point average.
Even with her busy golf schedule, Dawn has found time for various school activities. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society (Vice President), Letter Club, and Key Club. Dawn has also done volunteer work with the Chandler Regional Hospital, Tempe Parks and Recreation Summer Playground, and helped feed the homeless at the Andre House. She also has helped with the Historical Museum, and Channel 8 KAET-TV.
